American Government: Classification:  SS

(This course does not qualify as a US History course for the purposes of the graduation requirements of the North Atlantic Regional High School. To qualify, for US History, the course must have the classification “US”)

This American Government course is a study of the origins, development, structure, and functions of American national government. Topics include the constitutional framework; federalism; and the three branches of government. It covers topics such as the bureaucracy; civil liberties; political participation and behavior; and policy formation.
